Elle interviews Anderson Cooper

How delighted was I to find a nine page article on everyone's favorite silver fox in this month's issue of Elle? Not only am I a huge fan of Andy Coop but I hope to one day have a career as honorable as his. FOX News may try to claim he is as much a celebrity as Paris Hilton, but jealousy does not become them. Cooper is a revered journalist, as he should be. The work he has done is inspiring and he works hard every day of his life to go to some of the worst places on Earth and shed light on the disturbing conflicts that plague our planet.

The article is an interesting one. It really shows Anderson's humility and grace. You can read the article in full here.

Palin finally answers Supreme Court question

With her bedfellows over at FOX News, of all places.

I, personally, have a few axes to grind from this latest interview with FOX.

Firstly, are you kidding me? Now that you've had time to go back and study, ya know, the United States' supreme court decisions (not something at all that I'd want a potential veep or prez to know off hand), you're willing to tell us about it on FOX and accuse Katie Couric and the rest of the media for being elitist and condescending? What do you want a gold star? Yes, it was a very comprehensive answer Carl, much like the kind of answer you'd see from an overburdened student given an extra couple days to go back and look up the answers to all of their wrong answers on an exam.

Also, I'd like to just stop once again and say, are you kidding me??? I mean, good job studying up on your Supreme Court decisions Sarah, but you believe states should impose the death penalty on repeat child rape offenders but the very own victims of those rapes you would not allow to abort their potential resulting babies?

This woman will never stop scaring me.

Hasselbeck leaving 'The View' for FOX News

Someone wants her! However, that someone is not so surprising. After all, it just goes to show FOX News will take any conservative twit whose credentials only amount to having an opinion.

After years of infighting with her left-wing View co-hosts, the McCain lovin' blonde has been offered an anchor spot at the McCain lovin' news network and she is seriously considering accepting the challenge.

"Elisabeth feels she can't win at The View, but she's been told by friends at FOX News that they'd find a spot for her without hesitation," said an unnamed source.

"Elisabeth is just as tired of the ladies at The View as they are of her! She feels she constantly has to defend herself," a show insider revealed to The National Enquirer this week. "Besides that, when she gets passionate about her opinions, the others make her look like she's hysterical. But when she doesn't talk enough, she's accused of pouting," says the source.

So, what's the former Survivor contestant to do? Go where you're wanted, of course! Even if it's just as disreputable as your last gig.

"They love Elisabeth at FOX, she gets high ratings whenever she appears on the network."

Exclusive Palin Interview on Hannity and Colmes

Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin took to a comfortable chair, yet again, to discuss those issues most important to the American people. As Sean Hannity gazed at her lovingly from a couple feet away, the Alaskan governor seemed much more at ease. This could either be due to more all-nighters next to a coffee pot studying or her knowledge beforehand that she is loved by those at FOX News. Click here to view the first three parts of the interview.

Sensationalism

We haven't exactly harkened back to the days of yellow journalism just yet, but if reporters get off on anything, it's being right at the scene of near-disaster, even when it's not necessary. They get a pat on the back for covering the story from the "eye" of the storm and the dramatization of an already sensational event sure gets those ratings higher for the networks. Case in point: Geraldo Rivera, FOX News. See below.

This is really more comical than it is sensational, though, I must admit.

The pot calling the kettle liberal

For shits and giggles, try and watch this video the whole way through. It's worth it to note, they're absolutely spot-on in their analysis.

But, Fox News delighting in MSNBC's political leanings is like President Bush calling someone out for their verbal faux pas. Kinda freakin' hilarious.

MSNBC tries to revive their good name

Or rather, their unbiased name. Ohhhh, that's right, they never had one.

MSNBC has demoted Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews to every reporter's nightmare, mere analysts. This is their punishment for failing to eject their liberal bias from their coverage of the election.

After months of accusations of political bias and tension between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, it was decided that David Gregory would succeed the role of anchor in the network's election coverage.

The problem with this scenario, is the majority of MSNBC's viewers tune in to hear that liberal bias. MSNBC intelligently emulated FOX' success with political leaning.

Something tells me they will try, and subsequently fail with their "straight talk" experiment.

The network you weren't watching...

On the evening of John McCain's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, the long-standing contention between FOX's abrasive Bill O'Reilly and golden boy Barack Obama finally came to fruition. The following clip is one of several segments to be aired over the next few days on the O'Reilly Factor.

C'mon, Heidi and Lauren get dirtier than that.
