Obama ads use GOP against McCain

All I can say is, ouch... and ouch. Watch Obama's latest ads below. The first, relies on McCain's frequently touted hero, because Reagan is just about the only thing Republicans have to be proud of. The second, well, Miss Alaska provided that material herself.

Another annoying, sometimes cute, but important ad.

Wisconsin flyer capitalizes on fear of black power

Are you [expletive] kidding me???

Distributed throughout the very white Wausau, Wisconsin, the above flyer, which falsely bears the logo of the Obama campaign, asks voters to support Barack Hussein Obama II (still using that one, huh?). This little piece of faux-leftist black propaganda attempts to scare people off with the promise that a vote for Obama is also a vote for, oh no, black empowerment!

C'mon people. Why do we have to resort to this?

Feds charge two with plot against Obama

Sad news today. Two white supremacists allegedly plotted to go on a national killing spree, shooting and decapitating black people and ultimately targeting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, federal authorities said today.

In all, the two men whom officials describe as neo-Nazi skinheads planned to kill 88 people - 14 by beheading, according to documents unsealed in U.S. District Court in Jackson, Tenn. The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.

Apparently, the numbers 14 and 88 refer to a 14-word phrase attributed to an imprisoned white supremacist: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children" and to the eighth letter of the alphabet, H. Two "8"s or "H"s stand for "Heil Hitler."

The spree, which initially targeted an unidentified predominantly African-American school, was to end with the two men driving toward Obama, "shooting at him from the windows," the court documents show.

"Both individuals stated they would dress in all white tuxedos and wear top hats during the assassination attempt," the court complaint states. "Both individuals further stated they knew they would and were killing to die during this attempt."

The picture above, was obtained from Daniel Cowart's MySpace page. Coward, 20, of Bells Tenn., is one of the persons arrested today for planning the assassination.

I cannot express enough how sad and disconcerting this news is to me. I've tried and tried to possibly understand one iota the mentality one would need to feel this kind of hate and I cannot muster it in the least.

I'm concerned for Sen. Obama if he were to be elected president because this surely will not be the last attempt to end his life, and I am also disconcerted at the fact that these two supremacists were going to target a school full of innocent children, for goodness sakes.

My hope is that people never become desensitized to this kind of news. We should continue to do all we can to squash this kind of lingering hate in America and elsewhere. It's not only disturbing but in my opinion, puts our country to shame.
